Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”
(Jeremiah 1:11-12)
In the above verse, almond represents watchfulness, vigilance, fulfillment of God’s promises, blossom, new life, and new beginning. In 2025, God will be watchful to perform His promises concerning you. You’ll be a harbinger of blessings and good news because of the early fulfillment of God’s promises in your life.
Season of Early Bloom
While other trees are still embracing the winter season, the almond tree already starts pushing buds and eventually flowers. Just as the almond tree blossoms earlier than other trees in mid-February, you’ll blossom earlier too. The testimonies of God’s favor and miracles in your life right at the start of the year will bring confidence in the Lord for other people.
The almond tree moves into dormancy from November to January until it bursts forth into the season of blossom in February, producing beautiful white and pink flowers. Between October and November, it stores up nutrients, energy, and water before becoming dormant. During the season of dormancy, it does not absorb any water or nutrients.
Out of Dormancy
Many of you have been fed by the Word of God, prophecies, revelations, and real-life spiritual experiences by God for a long time. But for some reason, you did not act on them. You did not work for the Lord. You fell into sin. You backslid. You lost interest in God. Your fire was put out by the pleasures of this world. You became spiritually dormant!
Nevertheless, God is going to wake up His warriors and sons in the new year, just as the almond tree wakes up from its period of dormancy in late January. He is going to wake them up from their sin and spiritual deception. They’re going to wake up to reality and to who they really are. They’re going to wake up to their true identity in Christ.
All this while, you have been sleeping with your eyes wide open (spiritually speaking). For the world, you were alive and well, but you were dead to God.
Season of Early Fruitfulness
The almond tree not only blossoms, but also gives fruit (kernels) earlier. Just as the almond tree bears fruit early in the year (March), you’ll bear fruit faster. There will be acceleration in your life. God will make you an example of His promises being fulfilled at the time of God, not man. He will make you a trailblazer in 2025. Your life will motivate other people for the rest of the year.
God will distinguish you like the rod of Aaron. He will show to the world that He has chosen you and why you were chosen by Him. You’ll become ready for God to use you for His glory.
It takes 5 years or more for an almond tree to reach maturity and start producing almonds. You’ve been waiting patiently a very long time for God to use you and for His promises to be fulfilled. 2025 will be the year when your prayers will be answered. God’s plan for you will come to fruition next year.
Furthermore, the branch of an almond tree seen by Jeremiah represents growth and increase. You’re going to branch out in 2025.
Season of Ordination
Sanctification comes before ordination. All this while, you were being sanctified. In 2025, you’ll be ordained by God. The spirit of boldness will descend upon the sons of God. They’ll speak what God wants them to speak. They’ll not fear anyone or anything. There will be persecution next year. However, the gates of hell shall not prevail against the sons of God. They’ll be delivered by God.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:5)
But the LORD told me: “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ For to everyone I send you, you must go, and all that I command you, you must speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,”
(Jeremiah 1:7)
They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.”
(Jeremiah 1:19)
